What we collect, why, and how to get it back or have it removed. Last updated 29 September 2026.
Starting template — not legal advice. Review retention periods and lawful bases with a qualified lawyer before you rely on it, and name a data controller and contact address.
Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a salted scrypt hash — we cannot read them.
Profile and work data: your role, headline, bio, skills, rate, portfolio links, squad memberships, and the briefs, auditions, proposals, milestones and deliverables you create.
Messages and files: the contents of conversations you take part in, and any files you attach or submit as deliverables.
Reputation data: ratings and written reviews left after a completed contract, and verification status.
Payment data: the amounts, milestone splits, payout status and the payment provider's identifiers for a transfer. We never store full card numbers — card details go directly to our payment provider.
Technical data: a session cookie, and the ordinary server logs our hosting provider keeps for security and debugging.
To operate the marketplace: showing briefs, running blind auditions, matching clients with squads, and recording contracts and milestones.
To move money: holding funds in escrow and paying out each member's share of a milestone.
To keep the platform safe: detecting fraud, spam and abuse, enforcing our terms, and investigating disputes.
To run the product: fixing errors, understanding which features are used, and supporting you when something breaks.
To contact you: account, contract and payment notifications, and — only where you have opted in — product updates.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
We do not use the contents of your private conversations to target advertising.
We do not make automated decisions that deny you work. Scoring an audition is done by the client; our analysis tooling flags scope drift for a human to review, it does not decide outcomes.
Payment processing, so funds can be held and released.
Our database, hosting and email infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf under contract.
Other users, but only the parts they need to work with you: your profile and skills are public; a brief or proposal is visible to the parties involved; a conversation is visible to its participants only.
Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone's safety.
We set one essential cookie: an httpOnly session cookie so you stay signed in. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we only set essential cookies, no consent banner is needed.
Account and profile data is kept while your account is open.
Contracts, milestone records, payouts and audit history are retained after account closure, because financial records must remain verifiable and disputes can surface later.
Conversations and files tied to a contract are retained for the same reason. Deleting your account does not delete the other party's copy of a contract you shared.
Passwords are hashed with scrypt. Sessions are server-verified on every request — a cookie alone does not grant access.
Contract workspaces, conversations and files are restricted to their participants. Uploaded files are served through an access-checked endpoint rather than a public URL.
No system is perfect. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required.
You can access and correct your profile data at any time in your account settings.
You can ask us to export your data, or to delete your account and the personal data attached to it — subject to the financial and dispute records described above.
You can opt out of product emails without losing the contract and payment notifications that keep your account working.
To exercise any of these, use the contact route in your account settings.
Squadrie is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and will remove such accounts if we become aware of them.
If we make a material change to this policy we will announce it in the product before it takes effect.
Privacy questions and requests can be raised from your account settings.
